Zezhang Zhu is a Chief Surgeon, Professor, and Doctoral Advisor. He earned his Ph.D. from Nanjing University. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Spine Surgery at Nanjing University, the Executive Director of Orthopedics at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School, and the Deputy Party Secretary and Director of the First People’s Hospital of Chuzhou. He was recognized as a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions in the National Hundred, Thousand and Ten-Thousand Talent Project.
He has published more than 140 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in esteemed journals such as Nature Communications, American Journal of Human Genetics, ACS Nano, Bioactive Materials, Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, and the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery. He has been acknowledged by numerous awards and honors, including the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education, the second prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, and the first prize of Science and Technology Award in Jiangsu Province, among others.
