Juan Li obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Southeast University School of Medicine in 1994. In 2007, She received her Doctoral degree from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the same institution until 2008. Joining Nanjing University School of Medicine Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital in 2008, she currently serves as a Principal Investigator at the Phase I Clinical Trial Unit of the hospital. Her research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of hematological tumors.
She is a Human Genetic Resources Review Expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology, a member of the Human Genetic Resources Management Committee of the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province, a member of the Clinical Pharmacology Special Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society (Phase I), and the Vice Chairman of the Nanjing Branch of the Clinical Trial Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society. She is also recognized as a Key Talent of the 12th Five-Year Science and Education Project of Jiangsu Province, a talent of the Six Peaks of Talents in Jiangsu Province, and a leader of Nanjing’s young and middle-aged industry technology disciplines.
Juan Li’s contributions have been acknowledged through notable awards, including the First Prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award (eighth place), and the Second Prize of Nanjing Science and Technology Progress Award (third place). She has led three general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and a number of key research projects at the bureau level.
She has published over 30 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, including publications in Nature Communications. As a Principal Investigator, she has completed more than 50 clinical trials, including more than 20 bioequivalence studies and more than 20 PK (pharmacokinetics) and safety and tolerance tests.
