Personal Profile:

Prof. Ding Lijun earned his Ph.D. in Medical Genetics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2008. With decades of experience in clinical and basic research of reproductive and regenerative medicine, he has made significant contributions to the field. His achievements include progress on the mechanism of ovary ageing and aneuploidy in oocytes, the discovery of endometrial perivascular stem cells, and the development of stem cell therapy for Asherman's syndrome and premature ovarian failure.

 

He has led over four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and six projects supported by National Ministry of Science and Technology and/or Jiangsu Provincial Health Department. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 30 articles in reputable journals such as Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, SMALL, Biomaterials, Stem Cells, Human Reprod , etc., with a total of more than 1600 citations.

 

He has also received numerous scientific awards, including the First Prize of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province. In 2020, Prof. Ding was appointed as the Principal Investigator at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School. His current research interests include the metabolic interaction between oocytes and cumulus cells, and stem cell therapy for reproductive diseases in women.
