Yong Song

Personal Profile:

Yong Song received his Master’s degree from the Fourth Military Medical University in 1990, and his Ph.D. degree from the Third Military Medical University in 1998. From 2000 to 2002 and 2005 to 2007, he served as a Research Fellow at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado, USA.

 

Dr. Song is currently a Professor at Nanjing University Medical School, as well as the Director of the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the Director of the Center for Lung Cancer at Jinling Hospital, Affiliate Hospital of Medical School, Nanjing University. He is the President-elect of the Jiangsu Society of Respiratory Medicine, President of the Nanjing Society of Respiratory Medicine, and Deputy President of the Society of Respiratory Medicine of the PLA. He is also a board member of the Chinese Society of Respiratory Medicine. Dr. Song also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Translational Lung Cancer Research and has served on the editorial boards of different journals.

 

Dr. Song has devoted himself to patient care, research, and medical education. His primary research interest is in the field of respiratory medicine, with a special focus on lung cancer, ARDS, and critical care medicine. He has published more than 300 articles and has edited three books on pulmonary disease.
