Professor Qu received his Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the Naval Medical University. He is a member of the Chinese Urology Association (CUA) and the Jiangsu Anti-cancer Association-Genitourinary Cancer Committee (JSACA-GU), and an editor for the International Journal of Urology and Clinical Genitourinary Cancer. He has been awarded the Changjiang Young Scholar by the Ministry of Education of China, and the Outstanding Youth Fund of Jiangsu Province for his consistent and prominent work in kidney cancer research.
Professor Qu’s research focuses on the precision diagnosis and treatment of kidney cancer, as well as its translational research. As either the first or corresponding author, he has published 17 SCI papers in prestigious journals such as Cancer Cell, European Urology, Nature Communications, Science Advances, among others. He has been granted 5 national invention patents. His outstanding scientific achievements earned him several awards including the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of the National Army, the Best Clinical Research Paper of the Year from the Chinese Medical Association, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education, and the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
Prof. Qu is currently leading several research projects supported by the General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program, and the Six Talent Peaks in Jiangsu Province. He also participates as an academic backbone in the National Key Research and Development Program of China. He was also invited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England to contribute to the compilation of the English monograph Kidney Cancer.
