Yi Shen is the Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department and Chief Physician at Jinling Hospital. He is also a doctoral supervisor at Nanjing University. From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. Currently, he leads the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department of Jinling Hospital, and is the Chairman-designate of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of the Jiangsu Medical Association. Dr. Shen’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of non-small cell lung cancer and esophageal cancer progression, including the effects of non-coding RNAs on tumors and the related clinical research on minimally invasive treatments for thoracic cancers.
