Shaolin Shi

Personal Profile:

Shaolin Shi received his Bachelor’s degree from the Department of Biology, Xiamen University in 1986, followed by Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Genetics from Fudan University in 1992 and 1997, respectively. He then underwent postdoctoral training at Glasgow University/Cyclacel and Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1997 to 2004. From 2005 to 2011, he served as an assistant professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Currently, he is a Professor and Principal Investigator at the National Clinical Research Center for Kidney Diseases, Jinling Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Medical School, Nanjing University. His research focuses on the identification and functional study of genes that are essential for podocytes and other glomerular cell types and their implications in diseases.
