Personal Profile:

Baosheng Guo studied for his Ph.D. degree in Orthopedics and Traumatology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, he worked as a visiting scholar at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University under the Brown University-CUHK PhD Student Exchange Program. Following this, he pursued his postdoctoral training and worked as a research assistant professor at Hong Kong Baptist University from 2014 to 2018.

 

In 2018, Dr. Guo joined the Medical School of Nanjing University as an associate professor under the Overseas High-Level Talent Recruitment Programs. He is also a Principal Investigator in the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at Nanjing University.

 

Dr. Guo’s research focuses on investigating intercellular communication in the musculoskeletal system and developing novel targeting drug delivery for degenerative musculoskeletal diseases. His research work has been published in prestigious journals such as Nature Medicine, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Journal of Cachexia Sarcopenia Muscle, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Biomaterials, and others.
