In March 17-19, 2023, the Frontiers in Stress Metabolism Biology Symposium was successfully held at the International Conference Center of Nanjing University. The conference was hosted by the Model Animal Research Center of Nanjing University Medical School. The theme of the conference was the regulatory effects and mechanisms of stress on tissue and organ metabolic homeostasis and development in biology.
Professor Gan Zhenji from the Model Animal Research Center of Nanjing University Medical School served as the convener of the conference. Professor Wang Hongwei, the Vice Dean of Nanjing University Medical School, attended the conference and gave a welcome speech. He welcomed experts in the field of metabolism research from across the country to come to Nanjing University for exchanges and discussions and hoped that they could jointly promote the development of stress metabolism biology.
The experts who gave reports at the closed-door meeting included Professor Liu Yong from Wuhan University, Professor Jiang Changtao from Peking University, Professor Liang Bin from Yunnan University, Professor Gan Zhenji from Nanjing University, Professor Liu Yu and Professor Wang Yan from Wuhan University, Associate Professor Hu Xinli from Peking University, Research Fellow Xu Chenqi and Wang Hongyan from the Molecular and Cellular Science Innovation Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Qiu Yifu from Peking University, Professor Song Zhiyin from Wuhan University, Research Fellow Liu Pingsheng from the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zheng Ling and Professor Zhou Yan from Wuhan University. The conference also invited more than ten members of the advisory expert group of the Ministry of Science and Technology's key R&D plan and well-known scholars in the fields of metabolism and immunity to guide and exchange. The attendees at the conference actively exchanged their ideas and had inspiring discussions.
The gathering of experts and rich content of the conference further expanded and innovated the research ideas in stress metabolism biology, making it a wonderful academic event.
